Melaina Coomes is a young woman who has been training in aerial arts and many other aspects of circus since 2013. After sometime spent as a gymnast she started her aerial journey at the age of 8. Her ongoing training under Csaba Szilagyi (Ringling Bros, Arabian Nights, Disney) and Ana Cuellar (Cirque Du Soleil) has helped her to realize much of her potential and has left her grateful for such incredible coaches.

Now a performer as energetic and focused as she is passionate, Melaina has participated in many shows and events such as: “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, “Sacrificial Spirts” and “Poison Grotto” at Howl-O-Scream Orlando, “Surf Holiday” at Sea World Orlando, “Le Cirque Nuit” at Orlando Fringe 2019, “Pippin” at Osceola Arts, Mural of the Trails Art Festival 2022 & 2023, and many others. Melaina is experienced in a wide variety including but not limited to silks, dance trapeze, lyra, and so on. She’s hard-working and always seeking opportunities to improve her craft and share it with others.
